Parents and guardians, are you looking for an opportunity to shape the strategic direction of Hillside?
If so, you should consider running for an open seat on our School Governance Council. Interested parents and guardians must visit the School Governance Council website to submit their candidate declaration forms.
All declarations of candidacy must be submitted by Feb 17th.
Submit Your 5th Grade Baby Pictures
A long standing annual tradition at Hillside is to have a 5th grade baby picture page in the yearbook. It is always fun to see how the 5th graders have changed from birth to 5th grade. Participation is FREE, so please take a few moments and send an email with your child’s baby picture.
Celebrate Your 5th Grader with a Yearbook Ad
Applaud your 5th grade student’s achievements with a tribute in his/her yearbook. Celebrate successes, extracurricular activities and friendships in a yearbook ad. A business card size ad is only $20.
Click HERE for detailed instructions for submitting baby pictures and creating an ad.
Deadline for all submissions is Friday, January 13th.
JOIN THE HUSKY PACK and support the Hillside PTA with the simplest fund raiser you’ll participate in… ever! We value your time and would like to give you the opportunity to join your fellow huskies in supporting our great school by participating in our membership drive, without all the hoopla. Please note, Hillside’s award-winning PTA programs cost approximately $75 per child. Please indicate how you’d like to join the pack of fellow huskies by choosing from the options below*… (*Please note, a basic PTA membership is available for $5.)
PTA Membership Levels
I would like to choose my own amount (above $150) at which to support the Hillside PTA instead of planning a 5K or a fancy gala. Thank you for letting me stay home in my pajamas while still joining the pack.
Includes directory, car magnet and one hard cover yearbook – tax deductible donation of at least $112 write-in
I would much rather sponsor the Hillside PTA at this level than run my own booth at a carnival. Here’s the money I would’ve undoubtedly spent on that.
Includes directory, car magnet and one hard cover yearbook – tax deductible donation of $112 $150
Please take this money instead of asking me to pledge my child to run laps around the gym/school/playground. And thank you for not asking me to call all my family and friends to sponsor said kid, after I already didn’t call them to buy wrapping paper and magazine subscriptions.
Includes (2) PTA Memberships, directory and car magnet – tax deductible donation of $60 $75
I would rather join the pack at this level than contact all of my family and friends asking them to purchase wrapping paper, magazine subscriptions, candy or random food items that they don’t need, simply because they know us and think I have cute kids
Includes (1) PTA Membership and directory – tax deductible donation of $30 $35
I really, really don’t want to bake (or buy cupcakes at the grocery store and pretend I baked them, let’s be real.) Here’s the money I would’ve spent on the ingredients
Covers cost of local, state & national dues – tax deductible.
Additional Items (if not included in above):
Student Directory ($5)
Must purchase PTA membership to purchase directory
Yearbook Hard Cover ($25)
($30 after November 1, 2016)
Family Portrait Session ($25)
Includes 11×14 Portrait
Welcome to Hillside! Our strong foundation is based on a partnership among students, teachers, parents, and the community. Hillside’s PTA is a consistent top-performer, earning recognition as Outstanding Local Unit, Model PTA, and putting on unique programs like Science Day, Artist Day and our popular All-Pro Dads events. This year’s membership drive is our school’s only active PTA-program fundraiser. Hillside’s award-winning PTA programs cost approximately $75 per child.
Deadline for Entry Submissions is October 16, 2015. For additional information, please contact Reflections Chair, Adriana Flores at email@example.com
Be a part of the Hillside Team! Volunteer!
Hillside welcomes all parents, grandparents, and community friends to volunteer at our school. Please complete the online training in order to be a volunteer. Even if you have completed the training in the past you must do it again each year. It takes 48 hours for it to show in the system that you completed the training, so please plan accordingly. Follow the link to complete the training.
Also, upon arrival of the first time you volunteer at Hillside you must present your picture ID. Please allow a few minutes extra that first time. This is just once a year.
All volunteers are invited to a Volunteer Orientation on Tuesday, August 25 from 12:00-12:30pm or 6:00-6:30pm. You will be able to learn more about getting involved at Hillside and hopefully find a spot that matches you! Any questions, please contact Kelli Koski at firstname.lastname@example.org or Renee Corley at email@example.com.

Leah Ward, Sandy Craig (PTA Presidents), Dr. Otway and Ms. Blalock just attended the annual North Fulton PTA Presidents and Principals Luncheon last week. We are so proud and excited to report that Hillside Elementary was recognized with two awards!
For three years in a row, Hillside Elementary PTA is recognized again as an Outstanding Local Unit within the North Fulton Council which represents 49 elementary, middle and high schools. Hillside is 2nd place this year among all elementary schools. We humbly accepted this award on behalf of YOU: each and every one of you who work tirelessly on for all of our students and families.
We also received the Connect With Council award which represents our active participation in training, networking and partnership with other PTAs within the North Fulton Council.

A press release by the City of Roswell and the Cultural Arts Board (CAB) announces the list of organizations that have been awarded a combined $25,000 from Contracts for Cultural Services, the first ever financial support program developed for Roswell nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. Hillside was awarded $4,200 to support our Artist Day!
